NORDLUG Group Build

Hello everyone! We held our first "Group Build" today. We ended up with the awesome diorama pictured above. For those of you who weren't there, that is a futuristic city being overrun by zombies, dinosaurs, and the "Bushians", a strange species of tripodal plant creatures who might be related to the Triffids.

A Bushian, thanks to the seemingly endless supply of foliage pieces the LEGO Community Engagement and Events folks sent us. Thanks Mr. Hinkle! You are the best!

A villain's lair in progress.

Building an elevator.

A Moon base in progress

Spaceship-boat

Cyborg-T-Rex

Dr. Who vs  Octopus-Guy

Flamethrower vs Bush Alien

Dinosaurs and...the TARDIS?

I would like to thank everyone who came for making this event possible. You guys and gals are the best!

Good morning fellow LEGO fans,

This is just a reminder that LEGO Day is this Friday, August 24th.

Here's what you need to know about the schedule:

12:30-1:00 doors open, registration begins. If you're bringing a model, this is when you should plan on coming.

1:00 LEGO Day officially begins!

4:00-4:30 winners are announced, prizes are given, etc.

4:30-5:00 clean up

Nota bene: Children of all ages are welcome, but I do ask that parents supervise their younger ones.

I would like to thank everyone who has contacted me so far. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me.
(By the way: emailing me is not a requirement for coming. If you don't get around to telling me that you're coming, just come anyway! Bring your friends!)

LEGO Day 2012!

It would help if you sent us a message at nordlug@gmail.com if you plan on coming (to get an estimated head count, send you more information before the event, etc.).
There's no problem with you just showing up, though.

First NORDLUG Meeting!

Ack, the event was on Saturday and it's Thursday already. Sorry for the delay. >_>

First NORDLUG Meeting! We had a good turnout, especially for not advertising it. We had over 30 models from about 15-20 different contributors :
My sister held several games of Robo Champ, which went over extremely well:

Overall, it was a lot of fun, and we hope to do it again.
